About Ultra.cc
Ultra.cc provides managed app hosting on shared servers. HDD plans emphasize storage capacity; a separate NVMe range caters to customers who need faster disks.
Tin’s offer at the time of testing was €13.95 per month for 4 TB, with 10 TB of monthly upload traffic. Essential plans exclude media servers, so the cheapest advertised Ultra package is a different proposition.

Why Ultra is worth considering
-
The control panel offered about 55 apps when checked. Torrent clients and media servers sit alongside tools such as File Browser and arr apps, giving customers considerable freedom to choose their workflow.
-
SSH access is included without root. It is useful for file tools and scripts while the provider handles the operating system.
- Ultra has a public feedback board and roadmap. It is useful for seeing requested improvements, although a planned feature should carry no weight in a purchase decision.
Where Ultra falls short
Billing and app management use separate portals. The tested service also required separate credentials for individual apps, which is a nice security touch but looking for the right one can be frustrating.
Several advertised plans or locations were unavailable when checked.

The control panel and app setup
The tested account arrived with 0 apps installed. App catalogue provides a searchable list with documentation links beside each application. The qBittorrent installation took roughly two minutes; Emby’s installer reported completion in about a minute.
File access starts with a plain browser directory listing, with a proper File Browser available to install for fuller file management. The service takes more initial assembly than a seedbox with a torrent client already running.

Our verdict
Ultra is one of the stronger options here for storage at a modest price. Appbox is the closer alternative for someone who puts more weight on the management interface, while Whatbox can be a more bare-bones alternative.
