The service puts torrent hosting first. It gives technically comfortable customers room to run additional software with its SSH access, but the web panel offers a much smaller app selection than most providers covered here.

Where Feral is strong

Unlimited traffic suits long-running seeding without a monthly upload bucket to ration. The published congestion policy still allows traffic reductions during busy periods.

The tested slot included SSH without root. That makes file management and custom scripts practical for users who already work with a shell.
Where it feels limited
The one-click installer catalog contained five apps (ruTorrent, Deluge, Transmission, OpenVPN and MySQL). No qBittorrent was found.
Additional apps are available (37 total) but require a documented shell installation, adding effort compared to other UI-focused providers.
The client area had no in-browser file manager - FTP is the only option.

Our verdict
Feral is a sensible choice for a technical user who values shell access over dashboard convenience. If you want a media library with little setup work, consider a provider with direct support for the required media apps.
