Seedbox RatingAbout EvoSeedbox
EvoSeedbox provides managed seedboxes hosted in the Netherlands. Spidey lists 2 TB for US$15 per month, with 5 TB of outgoing traffic. ruTorrent comes preinstalled.
The inspected app catalog contained about 100 entries, extending well beyond media software. That breadth is its clearest selling point for someone interested in running other small services alongside a seedbox.

What it offers
-
The preinstalled torrent client removes one setup decision. For an existing ruTorrent user, the basic interface will be familiar.
-
The app selection included tools for personal finance and password management. Customers who will actually use those extras can get more out of the account than its storage figure suggests.
The limitations that matter
qBittorrent, Deluge and Transmission were absent from the inspected catalog - ruTorrent is the only choice you have. A large app total offers little comfort if it excludes the client your workflow depends on.
No proper SSH access. The optional OpenSSH app provided only a restricted container view, with no root or system-package installation, and failed to display a port number after install which required a support ticket to resolve.

The app environment
Billing sits in a separate customer area. The app environment contains the torrent interface and shortcuts to installed software.
Emby was installed in roughly a minute during the check, followed by its library-setup wizard. The interface also displays some basic stats.
What's interesting and unusual are EvoSeedbox apps. They offer their own branded:
- FTP Client - evoftp
- Torrent client - EvoTorrent
- Ad Blocker - evoads
- Android app to stream and manage torrents - Nuplex (+ Android TV beta)
evoftp works fine as long as you trust them enough to install a random app on your PC. EvoTorrent has all the basic torrent client settings and functionality, but of course none of the ecosystem that ruTorrent or qBittorrent have. evoads and Android app were not tested during this run.
Our verdict
EvoSeedbox is worth considering for its unusual app variety, provided ruTorrent suits you. Customers who need anything other than ruTorrent should look at Whatbox, Ultra or literally any other provider instead.
